Why You Should Attend

The key to finding your ancestors are education, networking, and resources.

19 experts in over 3 days will teach you strategies and show you resources that you can use to both improve your genealogy skills and find more ancestors, no matter which stage you’re at.

Maybe you're...

  • Struggling in tracing your immigrant Roots.
  • Need to learn how to research indigenous ancestors in Mexico.
  • Or simply just looking to add more resources to your genealogical toolbox.

Whatever it is for you, it's time to learn more.

Networking, during the conference you will have access to chat during presentations with other attendees and access to our private attendee directory so that you can message other attendees and or exchange contact details with them. Each evening you will also have access to our Zoom happy hour room so you can put a face to the names and talk about genealogy.

Hi! I'm Moises, my passion for genealogy started in the cotton fields of west Texas. As a migrant worker I was blessed to work in the fields next to my father, Lauro Garza, who had a sharp memory and told countless stories about his own ancestors. I have been doing genealogy since 1998. Since then I have helped countless others in their own quest to find their ancestors. Today, I continue with this passion by publishing and creating resources to help you in your own search.

The 3rd We Are Cousins Virtual Genealogy Conference will run from March 23-25, 2022 with eight presentations each day.

You register for our virtual conference. Make sure to remember the email and password you sign up with.

We will record all presentations 40-45 minutes in length before the conference to avoid any technical issues.

There are a lot of other genealogy conferences and presentations out there. So what makes this one different?

First, the conference was created specifically for family historians and genealogists looking to enhance their skills and or get new ones.

But more importantly, it is perfect for members of the Mexican Genealogy and We Are Cousins Communities. Many of our presenters have the same roots in South Texas and Northeastern Mexico as you do, their presentations focus in this area. Even if you don't have ancestry in this area, you can apply the skills and methods you learn to research the area that your ancestors were from.
